Tabular numbers
Digits have different widths by default. A clock, a counter, a price that updates will shift the characters around it on every change, and the eye reads the shift as movement that means something.
`font-variant-numeric: tabular-nums` fixes every digit to one width. On this site the collection's counter and the clock in the footer carry it, so 01 and 10 occupy the same space and the arrows either side never move. Columns of numbers in a table get the same, plus right alignment so the decimals line up.

Use the property, not the raw feature tag. `font-variant-numeric` keeps working when a fallback font renders; `font-feature-settings: "tnum"` does not compose with anything else you set.
